Sheriff sales are held on Fridays at 10:00 A.M. at the Knox County Sheriff's Office, 11540 Upper Gilchrist Rd., Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
All sales are pursuant to the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code.
Sales are published, on Fridays, for 3 weeks, prior to the sale date, in the Mount Vernon News classified ads section.
Terms of sale are 10% down at time of sale and balance upon confirmation of sale and delivery of deed. All bids begin at 2/3 of the appraised value of the property.
Payment for properties may be money order, certified check or personal checks; we do not accept credit cards or cash.
The 10% deposits are refundable ONLY on non-confirmed sales.
All sales are as is or "buyer beware" and properties are not open for inspection any time prior to sale, furthermore, unless otherwise noted, all properties are appraised from the outside as we are unable to inspect the inside in most cases. We do not guarantee clear title; you will receive a Sheriff's Deed upon confirmation of the sale and your remaining balance is paid.
